United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees - UNHCR is an United Nations (UN) agency engaged to lead and coordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. The Agency based in Geneva, Switzerland and established on 14 December 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly.
In Indonesia, UNHCR started its operation since 1979 and has its main office in Jakarta and a presence in Medan, Makassar, Kupang, Tanjung Pinang, and Pontianak. In 1954 and 1981, UNHCR obtained the Nobel Peace Prizes.
Currently UNHCR Indonesia urgently requires the following position :
Functional Title : Protection associate ( Three Position )
Level : UNOPS/G-6 Level
Duty Station : Medan,Tanjung Pinang,Makassar

Duties And Responbility :
Under the direct supervision of the RSD Officer and overall supervision of the senior protection officer,the incumbent will perform the following duties in his/her area of responsbility.
Qualification/Requirements
- Education : Minimum Completion Of Secondary Education But Preferably a University Degre In law,political science or related disciplines
- Exprerience : Four(4) years work exprerience in similar area or in the human rights field,Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment or international contest an added asset
- Nasionalty : Citizen of indonesia: Non-citizen with indonesia PR
- Language : Excelent knowledge of english and bahasa indonesia (written and oral) highly essential;knowledfge of other UN language is an asset
- Desirable Skills : Comunication;computer and windows literate;good knowledge of UNHCR'S protection mandate;excelent writing;good interviewing technique. Ability to work with minimal Supervision.
